Managing Partner & Chair: Sean Burns
As the founding partner of the Wingspan Group of Companies, Sean oversees investment and chairs the operation of several businesses. Sean’s background began in Fortune 500 restructuring projects over 20 years ago. He is responsible for the expansion of the Wingspan Property Group in Western Canada and the companies that make up Wingspan Medical across North America.
Sean holds a bachelor’s and two master’s degrees with various Ivy League awards and certificates. He’s a proud father and volunteers on the boards of non-profits actively helping to make the world a more equitable place.
Chief Risk Officer: Natalie Froese-Burns
Natalie is an experienced manager and consultant who now oversees enterprise risk management for Wingspan Capital Inc. and Wingspan Medical Inc. Wingspan Capital encompasses a suite of real estate brokerages and development projects, while Wingspan Medical includes medical clinics and investment in innovative medical AI.
Natalie brings 25 years of experience in project management and cost-effectiveness analysis, as well as previous operational responsibilities to the Wingspan group of companies. Natalie is involved in a range of initiatives that support women in business, and is dedicated to supporting the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, Canada's largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women's shelters and violence prevention programs.
Chief Financial Officer: Kevin Norman
Kevin Norman is a highly accomplished CFO with an impressive track record of over 26 years in senior and executive finance roles. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, human resources management, and information technology systems. His extensive experience includes leading financial operations for four mortgage investment companies and their associated management company.
Kevin is widely recognized for his exceptional leadership skills and specialized excellence across all facets of the finance domain.
Executive Vice President, Acquisitions: John Hopper
Seasoned Vice President with a robust track record in the real estate sector, showcasing a history of successful engagements. Proficient in the intricacies of Business Planning, Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital, Investment Properties, and Lease Administration. A strategic development professional, John brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, culminating from his education at Langara College. His strength lies in navigating the complexities of real estate operations while consistently delivering impactful results.
Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate: Sue McKitrick
After obtaining an Honours BA in Urban Development from Western University, Sue began her commercial real estate career working in the London Docklands, UK during its inception. Upon returning to Canada Sue worked for developers in Toronto for 8 years and obtained her MBA at York University. Sue also worked in
New Delhi India and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in Central America. Originally from Thunder Bay Ontario, she has lived on Vancouver Island since 1997. Sue works with Wingspan clients in property sales and leasing, development, and consulting/advisory services.
